Histoires & Crapahutes will organize its first hiking film festival in 2024. An itinerant festival in several cinemas, with an audience award at the end of the season.

We are starting our film pre-selection campaign.

To submit a film, it must have the theme of hiking in all its forms: by foot, on horseback, on skis, by bike... 

(related themes: Nature / Outdoor / Mountain / Exploration / Roaming / Soft mobility/Ecology...)

The purpose of the festival is to promote unknown directors and films, who have not always had distribution windows.

​

More than high-end productions, we are looking for strong, engaging, moving, inspiring stories. But if the festival is also open to non-professionals, the films must have a technical level (sound/images) sufficient to consider projection on the big screen (HD 2K mini 1920x1080).

Branded films may be accepted.

 

The screenings will be open to the public and chargeable. Directors may be invited on certain dates. A percentage of the tickets will be donated to the films in the selection.

 

The maximum duration of films is set at 1 hour.

The following categories are accepted: Documentary/report/fiction/clip

The movies have to be in horizontal shape (no vertical smartphone videos accepted)

The festival is open to foreign films but with French subtitles.

​

 

We only accept films produced during the last 3 years (2023-2022-2021).

The film must be unreleased in a traveling festival, and ideally not available for free access on the internet.

 

To qualify for the pre-selection, you must submit your film before the end of October 2023.

​
